HOWAT INSTITUTE OF CRANIO FASCIAL DYNAMICS (HICFD)

The Howat Institute of Cranio Fascial Dynamics (HICFD) was established in 2019 to support the work of Jonathan Howat. The institute is committed to continuing development of Cranio Fascial Dynamics (CFD) relating to the intricacies of traumatic brain injuries (TBI), through research, education and certified training courses.

CFD is a breakthrough approach to bringing healing to traumatic brain injuries and associated cranial fascial dysfunction and distortion. It addresses the intricacies of vascular brain congestion, dural membrane distortion, venous sinus stagnation and possible underlying neurological problems that may ensue as a result of:

  • Unnatural intervention at birth (induction, forceps, ventouse and caesarean delivery)
  • Whiplash/ head injuries
  • Concussion (sports including Rugby, Boxing, NFL, Martial Arts, cycling etc.)
  • Dental malocclusions
  • Pelvic instability

Since 2004, Jonathan Howat’s extensive research has led to the implementation of The Howat 8 Step Protocol, a breakthrough clinical application in traumatic brain and head injuries. The Howat 8 Step Protocol is designed to unravel the effects of cranial trauma and re-establish homeostasis within the brain. It has transformed both Jonathan Howat’s clinic and the lives of thousands of patients.
