The Howat Protocols of Cranio Fascial Dynamics (HPCFD)
The Howat Protocols of Cranio Fascial Dynamics was established to continue and advance the pioneering clinical work of Jonathan Howat, founder of Cranio Fascial Dynamics (CFD).
Today HPCFD is led by his daughter, Katherine, together with senior practitioners who were trained directly under Jonathan’s mentorship; ensuring the integrity and continued development of this approach internationally.
Our mission is to offer an educate and certify professional training in CFD and advance research, with particular focus on cranial fascial dysfunction and traumatic brain injury. We regard this work as a gift with a potential to benefit humanity and are committed to training chiropractors to steward it with compassion, integrity and skill.

What is Cranio Fascial Dynamics (CFD)?
Cranio Fascial Dynamics is a clinically developed approach that explores the relationship between trauma, the craniospinal fascial system and neurological function.
CFD focuses on structural balance and cranial fluid dynamics and may be relevant in cases involving:
• Birth intervention
• Whiplash and head injury
• Concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
• Dental malocclusion
• Pelvic and spinal instability

This advanced technique is now available in an 8-module course designed to provide practitioners with the expertise to revolutionise their clinic.
The Howat 8 Step Protocol
Developed through decades of clinical observation and research, the Howat 8 Step Protocol is a structured and non-invasive method aiming to:
✔ Reduce cranial and brainstem torque patterns
✔ Support vascular, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and lymphatic circulation
✔ Restore fascial balance
✔ Promote neurological homeostasis
The protocol continues to be integrated into chiropractic practice worldwide.
