Meet The Team

Katherine Howat DC

Director – The Howat Protocols of Cranio Fascial Dynamics

Katherine Howat, a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic (2001), has been in clinical practice since 2002 and has been closely involved in the development and teaching of Cranio Fascial Dynamics throughout her career. She leads The Howat Protocols of Cranio Fascial Dynamics and continues to direct the Oxford Chiropractic Clinic, where she practises as a dedicated CFD practitioner.

Having worked alongside her father, Jonathan Howat, in the development of the Howat 8 Step Protocol, she remains committed to preserving the integrity of this work while guiding its continued evolution for future generations of practitioners.

Lucy Alexandra Schleibach BSc MSc DC

Lucy Schleibach trained under Jonathan Howat in Cranio Fascial Dynamics (CFD) and brings his lineage of precision-based cranial work into both her clinical practice and teaching.

She was first introduced to CFD through referring her father to Jonathan for support with diplopia associated with a latent squint. Witnessing the profound changes possible through this approach fundamentally shaped her professional direction.

An AECC graduate chiropractor with over two decades of experience, she uses Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) and CFD to integrate biomechanical clarity with refined perceptual awareness, emphasizing nervous system regulation and trust in the body’s innate capacity to reorganize.

As a tutor, she supports practitioners in developing perceptual accuracy and confidence in working with the dynamic intelligence of the craniofascial system.

Kirsten Cloete M.Tech(Chiro)

Kirsten Cloete has studied under Jonathan Howat since 2009, spending many years observing his clinical work and deepening her understanding of Cranio Facial Dynamics (CFD). She was part of the first cohort to undertake formal CFD training and became a certified practitioner in 2021.

With over 17 years in clinical practice, Kirsten brings depth of experience and insight to her work. For her, CFD represents a significant evolution in clinical understanding – integrating structural, neurological and fascial principles through an embryological lens. This perspective has transformed the way she assesses and treats patients, and CFD now sits at the heart of her daily practice.

Originally qualifying as a Chiropractor in South Africa in 2008, Kirsten has been in continuous clinical practice in London, UK since that time. She is an Advanced Sacro-Occipital Technique practitioner and Certified Craniopath through SOTO-Europe.

As a member of the CFD teaching team, Kirsten feels genuinely honoured to share and faciitate this work. She is passionate about helping practitioners develop clarity and confidence in its application, ultimately benefiting the patients and families they serve.

The Howat Protocols of Cranio Fascial Dynamics

The Howat Protocols of Cranio Fascial Dynamics (HPCFD) was established in 2019 to support the work of Jonathan Howat.

HPCFD is committed to continuing development of Cranio Fascial Dynamics (CFD) relating to the intricacies of traumatic brain injuries (TBI), through research, education and certified training courses.
